Lulu is a pretty little cutie with personality plus. Pretty, intelligent, busy, curious and friendly, she'd be a wonderful companion for just about anyone. Lulu is one of Basically Bird's own hand-raised chicks. She was very happily established with a loving owner who had to give her up because of a severe allergy problem.

Often described as "the perfect mix of brains and beauty", the African Grey combines the intellectual capacity of a 5 year old child with the emotions of a 2 year old. Able to feel our emotions and respond accordingly, they learn from us, often speaking in sentences and giving appropriate responses to questions. Their high intelligence, remarkable beauty and extraordinary flair for speech (and all other sounds) explains their popularity as companion birds. The Timneh African Grey is a little smaller than its larger cousin, the Congo African Grey, but it is just as intelligent, just as personable, and perhaps a little more easily managed.
