Golden Capped Conure
Golden Capped, with a length of 13 inches,
are among the largest and most
beautiful of the conures. They are mostly green with
a beautiful red under the wings and some navy in the tail feathers. On the face
there is red above the cere and a bright orange behind that. The breast is a
mix of green and red.
Golden Capped Conures tend to be less noisy than some of their cousins,
possibly an important
consideration in some situations. Like all conures, Golden Capped Conures
are natural, playful clowns that endlessly
entertain their owners with amusing antics. Conures are frequently seen
rolling on their backs, kicking their feet in the air, wrestling and tumbling,
standing on their heads or hanging upside down by a toenail and rotating in space
while calling raucously to their friends.
