Basically Birds has the solution to one of the most tricky challenges you face as
a bird owner - how
to assure that your birds will be secure when you're away, and have
conscientious, qualified, reasonably priced care. This needn't concern you
any longer. Whether it be for a day,
weekend, vacation or longer, your birds can be cared for at our facility, allowing you
to pursue your activities without concern.
When you board your birds at Basically Birds, you'll know that they are in a clean, safe facility where they'll be fed, their cages will be kept clean, and they'll get the same care and expert attention enjoyed by Basically Birds' own birds. Your birds will enjoy their stay, as they socialize with our other boarding birds, sale birds and permanent residents. There's even a good chance that they'll surprise you with a few new whistles or larger vocabulary on your return.
We board birds of ALL sizes. Small, mid-size or large, we take them all! We'll also board your guinea pigs, hamsters and other small animals. Reservations are a must, but don't worry, emergencies are never turned away. Just call (609 631-7631) before you come in.
Boarding charges are calculated on a per bird basis. Additional birds in the same cage are half price. If your situation requires long-term boarding. We can provide it. Just ask.
You can leave the bird in its regular cage, or rent one from us. Cage too big or
clumsy to bring in? No problem! We'll rent you a suitable one - we've got them as
large as your bird requires. Cage rental fees are a flat rate for the whole time
the bird is boarding.
Seed and certain pellet brands are included in boarding fees. However, if your bird eats a special diet or gets a special treat, just bring it in with you. Your bird won't be disappointed. We'll be happy to make sure your feathered friend gets his or her regular food and treats on time.
Note that cages MUST be clean when arriving at the store. Bringing in an excessively
dirty cage will incur an initial cleaning fee. Our service includes keeping your
bird's cage clean while it is boarding here. We only require that owners meet
their cleaning responsibilities too.
