If AOL is your Internet Service Provider, it is possible that the Basically
Birds web-pages you see aren't quite current, but could be as much as 24 hours
behind the Basically Bird pages actually present on the website. Ordinarily, this
would not be a cause for concern and would not be noticeable because the pages
don't change very often. The greeting (Home) page however, does change from time to time,
as does the Birds Available Now page, and also the expanded bird description pages that are
accessed from the Birds Available Now page. When viewing one of these pages, it
is a good idea to force an update from the website to be sure you're viewing the
"true" current page. If you're interested in acquiring a bird, you'll want to know
as accurately as possible what birds are actually available.
If it's been more than 24 hours since you last logged onto Basically Birds, you
don't have to worry. AOL will send you the current page from the website. If it's
been less than 24 hours, proceed as follows to be assured of receiving the "real"
page.
1. Log onto the site and page of interest as usual. AOL may not send
you the up-to-date page but rather the page from when you last logged on.
2. While still logged onto the page, hold down the Ctrl key and, while it is
held down, click on the Browser Reload icon. AOL will then send you the
actual page from the Basically Birds host website.
Note that the Ctrl Browser-Reload sequence will need to be repeated
each time you change to a different webpage.
If you find a bird that interests you, be sure to call
Basically Birds to confirm the bird's price. We do try to keep the
posted prices up to date, but it's possible for a pricing error to occur,
particularly in the flurry of activity and confusion that tends to mark the
beginning or end of a sale.
